And it's no wonder when you think about what often happens in the lead up to, during, and even after the festive season. Things like shopping for gifts, juggling extra work shifts and having someone to look after the kids, traffic congestion and delivery delays, hosting guests, and travelling to visit family or for holidays – not to mention finding sitters for our precious pets!

4. Prioritise paying rent and bills
